Gloucester has plenty to offer all year round, from museum events to nature trails and fun for all the family.
Easter is the perfect opportunity to gather and take part in all the festivities and celebrate the spring season. Here is our guide to what to do in Gloucester this Easter.
Primrose Vale Easter Fun Event
Easter is one of the busiest times of the year for Christians and actually stretches from Lent in March to Ascension Day in May and contains the Holy Week of Easter.
In recent times, families across the world have used the holidays at Easter as a reason to come together and celebrate. At Primrose Vale, there is a wide range of activities for children of all ages to participate in. Set in picturesque Cheltenham, the farm provides the perfect backdrop for the spring season, including Easter Challenges and a pre-schooler trail, running from the 5th to 22nd April and open daily.
After all the festivities, make sure you visit the play area, farm shop and Potting Shed Cafe for refreshments.
Hatherley Manor Hotel Afternoon Tea and Easter Egg Hunt
For something a little more grown up, why not try the delectable Easter afternoon tea at the Heatherley Manor Hotel?
Explore the beautiful grounds of the manor and relax inside with a range of delicious finger sandwiches, cakes and tea and coffee. Easter would not be Easter, of course, without the inclusion of hot cross buns.
For boilers Gloucester has a number of companies that can supply them, such as http://www.hprservicesltd.com/gloucester-boilers/.
For those with children, the grounds are the setting for an Easter egg hunt, featuring clues by the Easter Bunny to the location of the treats. The Easter celebrations run from 8th April to 22nd April.
Easter Eggstravaganza at Cotswold Farm Park
Skip and hop along to Cotswold Farm Park this Easter to join in with an egg hunt in the park, with prizes for each child.
With a range of craft activities available, there is plenty here to entertain the children as well as the fun of the Farm Park. Do not forget to join in with feeding the goats, holding the chicks and stroking the bunny rabbits, as well as taking part in bottle-feeding the lambs.
Lambing season at the Animal Barn takes place from 16th February to 28th April.
